Adam Reich is a professor of sociology at Columbia University and co-director of the Columbia Labor Lab. His research focuses on U.S. institutions like the criminal justice system, the health care system, and the low-wage labor market. He is the author of four books, the most recent of which is Working for Respect: Community and Conflict at Walmart (Columbia, 2018), co-authored with Peter Bearman.
